Cheese Herb Biscuits
½ Tsp salt 2 cups flour 1 Tbsp. Baking Powder 1/3 cup shortening ¾ cup milk 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated ½ cup chopped herbs, parsley, chives, dill Fresh ground black pepper
Preheat oven at 375 degrees F. Blend flour, baking powder and butter until crumbly. Add milk, cheese, herbs, pepper, salt and blend. Roll out biscuits and cut in shapes. Place on baking sheet; Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown on top.
For Drop Biscuits add ¼ cup milk to recipe, drop by heaping Tbsp onto baking sheet. Bake as instructed above.
