Lemon Gold Cake

Ingredients:

2^1/2 c Sifted Cake Flour
2^1/2 ts Baking Powder
1/2 ts Salt
1/2 c Butter
1 tbsp Lemon Zest
1^3/4 c White Sugar
6 Egg Yolks
1^1/8 c Milk

Directions:

-Line 2 9" round pans with parchment paper
-Preheat oven to 350º
-Measure flour, baking powder, and salt, sift together three times
-Cream butter and lemon zest together, gradually add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy, add yolks one at a time beating thoroughly after each
-Add sifted ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture, a little at a time, beat until smooth
-Bake 25-30 minutes
-Cool on wire racks
